Saturday witchy candle spell
This past week has gotten away from me. At the beginning of the week, I had so many things planned that I was going to do. But life kinda threw a wrench in some of my plans. It’s ok though because while some things were just a minor inconvenience, good things are going to come out of it. But today I felt that my family and I needed a little happiness spell to brighten things up a bit.
For this spell I used
Pink Himalayan salt
Peppermint leaves
Lemon Balm
Lavender
Blood orange slices
A yellow candle
And protection powder
The first thing I did was use my favorite incense (Frank & Myrrh) and smoke cleanse everything I was going to use. There are other methods of cleansing but I favor the incense.
the original spell called for limes but I didn’t have any on hand but I did have dehydrated blood orange slices. The blood orange magically can increase positive energy and balance the spirit. The peppermint clears the air making room for desired energies. Lavender is wonderful at promoting peaceful thoughts. Lemon balm dispels melancholy and invokes happiness. The pink salt grounds the spell in love while the protection powder guards the magic.
I used a yellow candle and dressed it with a protection oil. I didn’t carve anything into the candle but you most definitely can.
I meditated and imagined my kids and I all in a place of happiness together. Everyone smiling and laughing and the air feeling light and happy. Then I set the spell candle in a central area of my home and lit it. I let it burn completely out.
And that’s it. The spell is complete.
The best thing about witchcraft is you can use whatever you have on hand. When I was a beginner witch, I believed that you had to have every herb and everything had to be just right and everything had to be perfect. And that’s just not the case. It’s all about intention, the magic is not within all of the fancy items. It’s already in you.

When preparing my candles, I love to dress them with specific herbs and oils, just like I did with this happiness spell using lavender for peace and peppermint for clarity.
