Christmas Tree is up!

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to finally share a closer look at my Christmas tree this year. Putting it up is always one of my favorite holiday traditions, and I absolutely love how it turned out! This year, I went for a really cozy, elegant vibe with a beautiful flocked tree, and it makes our living room feel so magical. Choosing a flocked tree was a game-changer for me. If you’ve been on the fence about getting one, I highly recommend it! The 'snow-kissed' look instantly adds that winter wonderland feel, even if you live somewhere warm. There are different types of flocking too – some are heavily flocked for a dense snow effect, while others have a lighter dusting. Mine has a lovely medium flocking that still allows some of the green branches to peek through, giving it a more natural, frosted look. It really makes the colors of the ornaments pop, especially against the white backdrop. My main theme this year was bows, and I had so much fun picking them out! Instead of just traditional ribbons, I went for a mix of velvet bows in classic red and some shimmering gold ones. I found that placing them strategically, nestled a bit deeper into the branches rather than just hanging on the tips, created a fuller, more luxurious appearance. For a balanced look, I scattered them evenly, making sure there wasn't a section that felt too bare or too crowded. It gives the tree such a classic, yet whimsical feel. To complement the bows, I added delicate icicle ornaments. These are truly underrated! They catch the light beautifully and add a touch of sparkle that’s just enchanting. I mixed glass icicles with some acrylic ones for variety in texture and shine. They hang so gracefully and create a beautiful contrast with the softness of the bows. When the fairy lights twinkle, the icicles just glimmer, making the whole tree come alive. Beyond the tree itself, I always try to extend that cozy holiday feeling to the rest of the room. As you can see, our gray sofa with its light-colored pillows sits nearby, creating the perfect spot for snuggling up with a hot cocoa. I threw a festive plaid blanket over one side of the sofa to tie into the Christmas colors. And those sheer white curtains by the window? They let in just enough soft light during the day, and at night, they frame the glowing tree perfectly. A few scented candles and some subtle fairy lights draped across the mantelpiece (which you can't see but trust me, it's there!) complete the warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s all about creating layers of comfort and light! Decorating my tree and the surrounding space is truly a holiday highlight for me.
