I love the detail in the little gas pump ice cubes! The best part, the ice freezes very quickly in this ice cube tray, usually, within a half hour or so, I can be eating ice again while I type. The tray is very floppy so I put it in the freezer and fill it up in there. The scraper that comes with this tray is very helpful in getting just enough water in each mold to make the perfect little gas pumps. I can only imagine what little chocolate gas pumps would look like! It would appear that this is oven safe silicone--up to 446 degrees Fahrenheit!-- so one could make candies and cookies shaped like little gas pumps. Still, I totally get it, "fuel up with chocolate" makes perfect sense to me and I might have to melt some chocolate and make some cute little gas pump chocolates because, I, as an inveterate chocoholic cannot pass up the opportunity to "fuel up with chocolate"! Incidentally, the little gas pumps are surprisingly detailed, you do not get something that is just "kinda" the same shape, you get detailed ridges and voids that look like a gas pump. I will say that the type of gas pump represented in these trays is one that you do not see all that often any longer and it might confuse the people younger than a certain age and amuse those older than a certain age. One thing for certain, these little gas pumps are a great conversation starter and ice breaker because they are soooo cute!#Lemon8Diary
