I didn’t just sit down to colour today… I entered a whole storyline.
A chapter I did not consent to.
A saga involving my missing pinks, my patience, and one bold Colouring Book Criminal.
This piece came from a ridiculous, slightly unhinged place inside me —
the part that really just wanted a calm, artsy moment…
but instead had to negotiate for colours that I already owned.
The mood while colouring this?
Soft chaos.
Petty giggles.
A sprinkle of “why am I fighting for my life over pencil crayons?”
Every stroke felt like resilience.
Every colour felt like humour choosing me again,
even when the situation was one breath away from pure cartoon madness.
Sometimes grounding shows up as therapy…

finding joy in the absurd,
letting the chaos be part of the story,
and remembering that creation doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
