California roadtrip anyone?!

Summer is here, everyone! You know what that means…ROAAADDDTRRIIPPPP! In my humble opinion, California is one of the absolute best states for roadtrips because of the diversity of the land. From beaches to forests to mountains, California has it all. Here are a few of my faves:

- Big Sur - one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to and my absolute favorite in California! Not only is Big Sur itself beautiful, but the drive there along Highway 1 is world-renowned! You drive along the coast seeing so much different kind of nature! There’s plenty of hiking trails in Big Sur and once you’re done, hop in the ocean for a refreshing dip!

- Yosemite National Park - it’s 100% worth the hype! Yosemite is absolutely incredible and feels other-worldly. Of course there are many many trails varying in difficulty so there’s something for everyone! From waterfalls to the forest, it’s mesmerizing.

-Desolation Wilderness - a little less known, Desolation Wilderness has some of the most unique views I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely meant for either day hiking or backpacking, so be prepared! For day hikers, you can stay in Emerald Bay or South Lake Tahoe.

Sea Ranch is a small but beautiful architectural destination along the coast of Northern California. You’ll find that all the structures here follow a very particular standard called the Sea Ranch Style, save for this structure which is probably the most unique piece I’ve seen here in California!
