国立西洋美術館の特集展示はモネの魅力を存分に味わえる貴重な機会です。私も実際に訪れてみて、まず感動したのはモネ特有の光と色彩の繊細さでした。彼の19点の作品がまとまって見られるのはとても貴重で、時間を忘れてじっくり鑑賞してしまいます。 また、美術館自体が1920年代の巨匠ル・コルビュジエによる設計で、重要文化財に指定されていることから、絵画鑑賞以外にも建築美を楽しむことができ、大変おすすめです。特に中庭から見える建物の構造は、現代建築の基盤となった名作を間近で感じられる一面もあります。 展示以外の楽しみとして、美術館内のカフェすいれんがあり、中庭を眺めながらのティータイムはゆったりとした時間を過ごせて最高です。カフェはチケットなしでも利用できるので、展示を観る前後に立ち寄るのも良いでしょう。 アクセスも便利で、上野駅から徒歩すぐのため、東京近郊にお住まいの方や観光客にも訪れやすい立地です。定期的に無料入館日や新収蔵作品の展示もあるため、リピーターにも魅力的です。 モネをはじめとした印象派の名画に直に触れたい方、そしてル・コルビュジエの建築作品に興味がある方には絶対に訪れてほしい場所です。9月23日までの期間限定なので、気になる方はぜひ早めに足を運んでみてください。
