"Battle of the mind"

Romans 8:5

[5] For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. [6] For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,

This points out that your 'reality' is your mindset, and your 'mind' is the Battlefield.

Inside your mind there's an inner conflict between good and evil constantly going on...

When the world's way wins we get worldly results.

When God's way wins we get Godly results.

The victor of the battle for your mind, good or bad, is made evident by your actions.

2 Corinthians 10:5 NASB2020

[5] We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

So believers are encouraged to renew their minds and bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

*Recognize and Challenge Your Thoughts.

*Renew Your Mind with God's Word.

*Pray that the Holy Spirit, your enabler and guide, lead you to achieving a victory.

Father, these thoughts of mine, from seemingly nowhere! Always on me with no signs of warning or reason. I ask that You wake me when I fall into complacency, with thoughts of Your goodness and Your grandeur! I pray this for all of Your children, I know that evil preys on those who try to resist but with You evil has no minds to persuade.

Thank you, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Winning the battle in your mind is an ongoing process requiring intentionality, perseverance, and a steadfast reliance on God and His Word.
