Psalm 133:1
"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!"
"Song of Ascent,"was sung by pilgrims journeying to Jerusalem, traveling in unity as people from different places came together to worship as one family.
💕 A sight reflecting God's own heart!
"In this song David is celebrating the beauty and blessing of unity among God's people.
He sings of the anointing God gives, flowing down from Himself as the head to the entire communal body of His people.
Refreshing their lives is the morning's dew in abundance, that's coming from being in God's presence!
This ancient picture finds a modern echo here...
Different people, different places, news cycles, likes and dislikes and the continuous violence playing out on a global scale is disturbing. Its like trying to find peace and harmony on a foreign battlefield.
Fortunately being on the road and finding God's anointed one's... 'like-minded' people who celebrate unity and harmony having the same beliefs, was found just a phone glance away.
I heard a whisper that this digital space, our newest frontier, is kingdom territory needing to be claimed. Keeping complacency from setting in spiritually...
We're in a spiritual battlefield now, and by sharing our faith daily, building bridges, offering hope, and speaking truth in love
on these platforms, we claim ground for the Kingdom, keeping on mind, it's about more than likes, reflecting Jesus requires some effort.. Amen!?
Psalm 133:1 captures a timeless truth that resonates deeply even in our modern world: "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" Reflecting on this verse, I have found that fostering unity among believers not only strengthens our spiritual bond but also provides a profound sense of peace amidst turmoil. In my own experience using social media platforms, I’ve witnessed how digital spaces can become places of encouragement and shared faith, much like the pilgrims journeying to Jerusalem in unity. Despite distractions and negative news cycles, these platforms offer an opportunity to spread positivity and hope. When we actively engage with like-minded communities, we can build meaningful connections that mirror the unity celebrated in Psalm 133. The imagery of God’s anointing flowing down like abundant morning dew reminds me that staying present in God's presence refreshes and renews us daily. This spiritual renewal empowers us to face the challenges of a divided world with grace and love. While the digital realm can be a spiritual battlefield, choosing to speak truth in love and offer support turns it into a kingdom territory. From personal observation, it requires conscious effort to maintain this unity. It’s more than just likes or followers—it’s about genuine interaction, prayer, and encouragement. By doing so, we not only strengthen our own faith but become a light for others seeking peace and belonging. Psalm 133 encourages us to celebrate the blessing of unity as a reflection of God's own heart, inspiring us to be agents of harmony in both our local communities and online.
