"The Pioneer of the Soul"
Good morning 🕊
"The Pioneer of the Soul"
Moving from Religion to Relationship
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44).
This isn't a story about a reluctant sacrifice; it’s about a joyful discovery. The man doesn't grit his teeth to give up his assets; he laughs as he trades his "pennies" for a Kingdom. Yet, so often, we treat the things of God as a hobby—a side interest to be squeezed in between our "real" lives.
We act like sheep, waiting to see which way the herd moves before we dare to be different. But look up. Who are you following? Many are white-knuckling their way to the end, staring only at the backsides of the crowd, never realizing they are marching to a beat that leads nowhere.
Paul tells us clearly: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
It is a concept so simple it offends the proud and confuses the self-reliant.
"Why follow an "educated guess when you can follow the Resurrected One? Or settle for a philosophy when you can have a Person? Ideas can comfort us, but they cannot carry us.
In the darkest valley, we don't need a map or a set of instructions; we need a Hand to hold. Only One has not only walked through the valley of death but has come back to lead us through it. He isn't a historical figure to be studied; He is a Living Hope to be known."
Our God doesn't just watch us from a distance; He lives in us—an experience as indescribably unique as it is life-altering.
So, stop waiting for the crowd. Be a pioneer of your own soul. Take a walk in the wilderness of your heart and chat with Jesus. It’s not a formula or a ritual; it’s a sincere, heart-felt surrender. Salvation is the free gift that costs you everything, but also gives you everything!
Go now—discover the world through new eyes, and watch as your heart of stone finally begins to soften.
What's keeping you from experiencing the full joy of the Kingdom?
Where are the areas in your life that you are you trying to follow a "map" instead of holding onto Jesus?
Pray,
Lord Jesus, I recognize that You are the Treasure beyond all price. Forgive me for holding back pieces of my life as "side interests."
Today, I give You everything! I trade my fears, my pride, and my worldly attachments for the joy of Your Kingdom. Soften my heart, be my Key to Everything, and lead me out of the crowd and into Your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen.
