First eating review
The first time with "Khun Tok" had previously heard the word "eat" but never really knew what it was until I had the opportunity to try it myself.
The first thing that impressed me was that it wasn't just a meal, it was a Lanna eating culture that passed down for hundreds of years.
The word "kantok" means a round vessel with high legs, made of wood, used to place food. When eating, people will sit around the floor around the kantok, allowing everyone to talk and share food together. It is a very warm atmosphere.
The food served is usually Northern Native, such as young chili sauce, pork narrows, hang le curry, cricketers, boiled vegetables, and many other native foods, arranged in small decks around the canopy, very beautiful and delicious.
The favorite thing is the feeling of sitting slowly, no one rushes. Everyone is sitting around and tasting each food along with a live native show. The shop we go to has fresh Thai music and dancing. The atmosphere is really different from eating food in a typical restaurant. We have gone up to dance with him, hahahaha. If there is a chance to come to Chiang Mai or North once, I would recommend to try it.
