Top Herbal Teas That Help Me Reduce Bloat

If you struggle with bloat, there are natural options that could be helpful in reducing the pain that comes with bloat. Listed in this post are teas I love that help with pain found with bloat and common irritations felt with gut struggles. While all of these teas can be made fresh from the herbs mentioned, I’ll share options where you can buy ready-made tea bags! As always, consult with a professional for concerns regarding your specific case when trying something new.

01. Peppermint

Aside from being great for freshening your breath, peppermint is also a powerhouse in relieving symptoms in pain from bloating and even improving digestion. This does so by causing the stomach in the muscles to relax and allow food to pass through easier. Some of my favorite peppermint teas are from Yogi, Bigelow, and Stash Tea.

02. Ginger

Ginger is known to be a great natural remedy to cut down constipation and bloating. It also has anti-inflammatory and carminative properties that can help soothe and relax the digestive system. Ginger can have a strong taste if you are not used to it. Usually, I like to add a slice of lemon to my ginger tea to help lessen the bite from that flavor. However, if you do like the overpowering sensation, you might enjoy the Organic Ginger Tumeric Herbal Tea from Trader Joes. Otherwise, I’d recommend the Lemon Ginger Herbal Tea from Bigelow.

03. Chamomile

If you are looking to relax, chamomile is a perfect digestive relaxant. It is know to reduce muscle spasms in the gut and decrease gas. It is a beneficial option for those struggling with bloat and upset stomach. My favorite chamomile teas are from Twinings of London, Celestial Seasonings, and Traditional Medicinals.
