Never play fair in a unfair world! #sprinklesprinkle #sheraseven #fyp
We've all heard the saying, 'never play fair in an unfair world,' but what does it truly mean to live by it? For a long time, I struggled, making what I now call 'dumb mistakes' by constantly trying to be the 'good' one, the 'fair' one, in situations where others clearly weren't. I realized that the world isn't always fair, and sometimes, those who tell us to 'play fair' are often the ones seeking to take advantage of us. This realization was a profound moment of healing for me, a turning point where I decided to be smart and navigate life differently. It's not about being malicious or deceitful; it's about being strategic, self-aware, and making sure that every interaction ultimately works to benefit you, no matter what. I learned that healing comes from understanding this dynamic and prioritizing my own well-being and growth. Instead of letting past disappointments hold me back, I started learning from those experiences, transforming them into wisdom. This new approach taught me how to navigate and benefit from situations that once left me feeling exploited or undervalued. Think about it this way: when a man is approaching me, and he has a nice car, he has money, my old self might have immediately thought, 'future husband!' and been prepared to do anything to please him, perhaps even propose to him. But the empowered me, the one who understands 'you never play fair in an unfair world,' thinks differently. I know my worth. I'm not going to be a 'stupid idiot and a pickmesha.' Instead, I think, 'I'm going to make him impress me. He's going to work for me.' If he truly wants to be in my life, he can put money in my account, or help me grow a business. Why? Because if things don't work out, I'm still ahead. I've gained something valuable, whether it's financial support for my endeavors or practical business experience. It’s about ensuring mutual benefit, but always with my own advancement as a priority. This isn't about being selfish; it's about being smart and knowing who you are, especially when I know I'm way out of his league in terms of self-respect and intelligence. This principle extends beyond romantic relationships. It applies to friendships, career opportunities, and personal boundaries. It’s about being pure in your intentions for yourself, protecting your energy, and understanding that not everyone operates with the same integrity. The goal is to always make it benefit you, ensuring your growth and protection. By adopting this mindset, you learn to set boundaries, negotiate for your best interests, and walk away from situations that no longer serve your highest good. This isn't about manipulation; it's about self-preservation and thriving in a world that doesn't always play by the rules. It's the ultimate form of self-love and empowerment, ensuring you’re always moving forward, smarter and stronger.
