Here is a few more TUBI movies- that app is kind of my go to for horror movies and shows, plus it's FREE!
🍿Fear Inc : 8//10 on TUBI
Brings classic horror into a real life nightmare when a company is called that claims to bring their scariest nightmares to life. Pretty good, underrated cast, full of twists and turns, definitely a good watch!
🍿Starry Eyes : 8//10 on TUBI
Tbh, I liked this movie. there's a lot of parallels to how the movie Pearl was- plot wise and character wise. I say that so you kind of have an understanding of what it's like (assuming you're a huge mia goth fan as well and have watched it already). a hopeful actress makes a dangerous agreement for fame when she discovers how hollywood elites get their status.
🍿I am Rage : 5//10 on TUBI
such a weird movie. full of what's supposed to be badass one liners, so many fight scenes, & gore, but it's not very realistic and cringe. a woman with a traumatic past takes a "vacation" to meet her boyfriends family. turns into a violent and traumatic fight for survival.
🍿Her Name was Christa : 8.5//10 on TUBI
interesting, disturbing, and sad movie & i loved it. a lonely man's story of true love and the struggles of a grief stricken twisted mind.
Hope you enjoy these films (let me know if you like them!) and have a wonderful rest of your day:)
... Read moreIf you’re like me and love diving into horror movies that deliver both scares and substance, TUBI is truly a hidden gem. One thing I appreciate about this platform is not just that it’s free, but also the unique variety of indie and cult horror movies available.
For example, "Fear Inc" offers a fresh take on classic horror tropes by turning a nightmare concept into a corporate service, which adds a clever twist that kept me hooked throughout. It's impressive how the underrated cast brought so much life to the suspense and plot twists.
"Starry Eyes" struck me as a deeply psychological horror film. If you’re familiar with films like "Pearl" or follow Mia Goth, this one’s a must-watch because of the thematic parallels it shares. The movie explores the dark side of Hollywood dreams, which really resonated with me as it highlights the price of fame and the sinister forces in the entertainment industry.
On the other hand, "I Am Rage" felt like a mixed bag. It has tons of action sequences and gore, but its attempts at badass one-liners and fight scenes sometimes struck me as over-the-top rather than realistic. However, if you enjoy a more chaotic, gritty revenge story with emotional trauma layers, it might be worth giving a chance.
Finally, "Her Name Was Christa" left me with a lasting impression. The film’s haunting exploration of grief and twisted love felt raw and genuine. The unsettling atmosphere and character study made it stand out from typical horror movies.
One thing I’ve noticed from my personal streaming experience on TUBI is that horror lovers who enjoy psychological depth alongside scares will find plenty to appreciate here. The app’s curated selection makes for great late-night viewing sessions without the need for subscriptions.
For those interested in finding more hidden horror gems or looking to explore new releases like the 2023 "I Am Rage," I recommend setting filters or checking curated lists within the app. It’s also helpful to read user reviews and critics' quotes, like Michael Roffman’s comment on "Starry Eyes" as a "gory, psychological mindbender."
If you try any of these films, I’d love to hear your thoughts or other TUBI horror recommendations! There’s something exciting about discovering underrated movies that aren’t mainstream but offer memorable and chilling experiences.
