Why I stopped paying attention to my spouse
My marriage was pretty rocky beginning year 3/4/5/6/7… whew!! So embarrassing. It started off great but then… just as marriage does, it shows you who the hell you are. Strips you and bares awl ya naked truth about you and drags your flaws for filth. Oh, it does it for your spouse too! They not in the clear!! I was way too worried about what my spouse was doing and what they WEREN’T doing that I forgot that I needed healing. (Also, this is for the marriages that went THRU it… and if you haven’t gone thru it… good for you. God bless ya lil heart, sug! And if you’re new to marriage, stay for a few and learn a thing or two or three). They say that when you don’t learn a lesson, you keep meeting IT or going through IT until you figure it out. (Iono who said that last part- I made that up but it’s true!).
Although my husband had his faults and some of his behaviors weren’t the best, I realized that my marriage would be over if I didn’t learn to set boundaries, be real with myself, start loving on myself, showing up for myself, becoming more assertive and less passive aggressive, learning to say no… etc. One thing that made me take myself serious was my daughter. I refuse for her to see a woman unhappy and struggling. So… I began to heal… for me. I began to heal so my daughter can look up to ME and no👏🏽one👏🏽else👏🏽. Well, she can look up to other woman, but I want the first one to be me. Heal, not for no one but yourself and if you can’t do it for yourself, do it for you kids. Needless to say, when i focused on myself, things began to fall into place. Hoped this helped someone. ♥️
Navigating the complexities of marriage often reveals profound truths about ourselves that can be both enlightening and challenging. In the early years, couples usually experience a whirlwind of emotions, from love to frustration. It’s important to understand that both partners contribute to the dynamics of the relationship. When one spouse feels neglected or overwhelmed, it can lead to feelings of resentment and disconnection. However, it is essential to shift focus inward. Engaging in self-reflection and self-care is vital for personal growth. Setting boundaries is similarly crucial; it teaches partners how to communicate their needs effectively. As relationships develop, establishing healthy boundaries helps maintain respect and understanding. Healing oneself not only improves your own life but can also positively influence your spouse and family dynamics. When we choose to prioritize our mental and emotional well-being, we become better partners and role models, especially for our children. Children learn by observing their parents, and a focused, healing individual promotes resilience and strength in the next generation. Instead of pointing fingers, look inward, and you might find the path to a healthier partnership begins with you. Remember, healing for yourself can lead to a more fulfilling marriage and life.

Omg thank you so much for sharing because I am struggling right now due to the same situation.
