Impending Instagram death
Here are some reasons why i’ll be deleting instagram: ⬇️
1. Petty
2. For everyone, it’s about what you got (even the ones that say it’s not about that, LOL. Chile PA-lease.
3. Too many lurkers/monitoring spirits
4. School goals. I’m almost done w/ my masters and will be heading into my PHD. I need to really focus with that program. Social media got me through my MA program. My PHD, I need to turn everything off
5. I don’t like ppls behaviors on there. It’s low key weird
6. I’m cute 😌💅🏽, but ion want to be no insta model. I can be… but that’s exhausting. And if you’re nit, good luck with followers.
7. It’s wack. I dnt laugh at any of the posts. I get on social media to cackle honey. Ppl aren’t authentically themselves.
8. Instagram=means girls, FB= Old folks, Lemon8= Chill spot & TT= I’m in the house and not standing outside looking in. If that makes sense.
9. I might have found my community with Lemon8 and definitely TT
I like to utilize social media for practical things, to uplift others, to find meals, to laugh and make online friends. Social media has become this tool to make ppl feel like crap, to bully/harass, show off.
Now, I’m not insecure. In fact, i’m a lil tiny bit full of myself so i don’t feel any type of way. BUT, when you know better and can see certain things and are more “hip” to stuff, you get turned off… QUICK! That’s my ☕️. What about you?
