Reflecting on my May 2026 reading journey, I found it fascinating how mixing different book formats enriched my experience. Audiobooks dominated my month, with 66 titles, which helped me 'read' during commutes and chores when holding a physical book wasn't practical. The seven eBooks and one physical book added variety, making each reading session feel fresh. Genres varied widely in my collection; thrillers kept me on the edge of my seat, graphic novels added visual excitement, and poetry offered soothing pauses. The average rating for my reads was around 3.92, showing a good mix of enjoyability with a few misses. One interesting observation was how borrowing from library platforms like Hoopla and Libby introduced me to new authors and titles I may have missed otherwise. The digital bookshelf is a treasure trove for exploration. Overall, this multi-format, genre-diverse approach to reading made my May both fulfilling and dynamic. If you’re considering mixing formats or seeking new genres, I highly recommend trying audiobooks paired with occasional physical books for a balanced and engaging reading experience.
