Cleaning the filter, the number one household chores I don't want to do even in general cleaning, has been considerably shortened since I started using this.
It is made of non-flammable glass fiber with thickness and elasticity, and has 1.5 times the removal power of a general non-woven fabric, and it catches not only the dirt of oil smoke but also the smell, so I can feel that the way the range hood gets dirty has changed considerably.

「スターフィルターはやめたほうが良い？」って検索する時って、だいたい“高いのに効果ない”“交換が面倒”“逆に汚れがひどくなる？”みたいな不安があると思います。私も最初は同じで、結論から言うと「合う家にはすごくラク、でも全員に万能ではない」です。 私が続けて使ってよかったと感じた一番の理由は、換気扇（レンジフード）掃除の心理的ハードルが下がったこと。休日にがっつりやる大掃除より、平日に気になったタイミングでサッと済ませたい性格なので、汚れが“こびりつく前”に対応できるのが助かりました。BEFOREみたいな状態になるとやる気が一気に消えるので…。 よかった点（体感） ・油煙のベタつきが内部に入りにくくなって、掃除が短時間で終わる ・一般的な薄いフィルターより厚みがあって、触った時の安心感がある ・料理後の匂い残りが軽くなった気がして、朝の時間も気持ちよく過ごせる日が増えた 一方で、「やめたほうが良い」と感じる人が出るポイントもあります。 ・コスト：安い不織布タイプと比べると、継続費が気になる人は多い ・交換タイミングが分かりにくい：放置すると結局ベタつくので、“汚れたら替える”運用が必要 ・サイズ/取り付け相性：レンジフードの形によっては貼りにくかったり、隙間ができると効果が落ちる 私が失敗しにくくなったコツは、(1)料理頻度が高い月は早めに交換、(2)端までしっかり密着させる、(3)フィルター交換の日を家事ルーティンに入れる、の3つ。出かける前に気になっても「すぐ完了できる」状態を作ると、続けやすいです。 まとめると、スターフィルターは“掃除をゼロにする”というより、“掃除を時短してラクにする”タイプ。大掃除で一気にやる派より、平日もこまめに整えたい人、換気扇掃除が本当に苦手な人には向きます。逆に、コスト最優先・交換管理が面倒な人は、やめたほうがストレスが減るかもしれません。
