10 minute Apple pie in the microwave?? 🥧
I saw this idea on TIKTOK and immediately went to recreate it! It's nice because you probably have all the ingredients already at home!
1. Cut up an apple
2. Dust on cinnamon sugar
3. Add about 1/2 spoonful of cornstarch
4. Add maple syrup
5. Add a splash of water
Then just microwave for 30 seconds three times, stopping in between to stir
You can also add oatmeal to this, but I didn't have any so I just did ice cream 😋
I didn't have vanilla ice cream either, that is bananas foster ice cream but the Carmel-ness was SOOOO good it was actually better than vanilla.
This is something I will make over and over! And it's good for fall 🍁

Okay, so you've tried the viral 10-minute microwave apple pie, right? It's seriously my favorite quick fix when that fall craving hits! But let's dive a little deeper into making it perfect every time, especially since so many of us are searching for the best 'microwavable apple pie' experience. First, let's talk about the 'how long to microwave apple pie' question. The original recipe says 30 seconds, three times, with stirring in between. This stirring isn't just for fun; it helps everything cook evenly and prevents hot spots. What you're looking for is apples that are tender but still hold a bit of their shape – not mushy! If your apples are firmer, like Granny Smiths, you might need an extra 30-second burst. On the flip side, softer apples like Gala or Fuji might be perfect in just the 90 seconds. The goal is that delicious, gooey apple filling consistency, just like you'd find in a traditional apple pie. Want to make it even more substantial? The original post mentioned adding oatmeal, and I totally agree! If you have some quick oats, stirring in a tablespoon or two before microwaving turns this into a fantastic 'apple crumble in a mug' or a healthier breakfast option. You could also toss in a few chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch and flavor. A tiny pinch of nutmeg or a dash of allspice alongside the cinnamon sugar really elevates that cozy fall vibe. Don't be afraid to experiment with your favorite spices! And for serving? While ice cream is a classic, don't limit yourself! A dollop of Greek yogurt or a swirl of whipped cream can be divine. If you're feeling a bit 'naughty' and want to lean into that indulgent side, a drizzle of caramel sauce (like I found with my bananas foster ice cream – total game-changer!) or a sprinkle of toasted streusel topping (you can buy ready-made varieties or whip up a quick one with flour, sugar, and butter) takes it to the next level. Now, here's a little secret I found from my images – sometimes you just want that oven-baked goodness, even if you started with a microwave idea. If you prefer a slightly different texture or are making a bigger batch, you can totally bake this 'apple filling the easy way!' instead. Just combine all your ingredients in an oven-safe ramekin or small dish. Pop it into a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes. You'll get a slightly caramelized top and a wonderful aroma filling your kitchen. It’s perfect for when you still want a quick apple dessert but have a few extra minutes and prefer the oven. Just keep an eye on it until the apples are tender and the sauce is bubbly. Whether you're craving a quick 'microwave apple pie' or a slightly more substantial 'apple crumble,' this recipe is incredibly versatile. It’s become my ultimate cozy snack, especially when the weather gets cooler. Give these tips a try and let me know your favorite way to enjoy this speedy apple treat!
