what iām reading for the trans rights readathon
the trans rights readathon is back for its third year, and while of course i read trans books year round, this week is always the perfect time to uplift and fundraise for trans folks!
iāve also been part of the leadership team and involved with organizing large fundraisers and gathering resources, so this readathon has an extra special place in my heart.
here are two of the books on my TBR for this week! i hope you participate and read (it goes until March 31st).

The Trans Rights Readathon is an annual event that focuses on raising awareness and funds for the transgender community. It's a time to celebrate trans authors and narratives, fostering understanding and inclusivity. This year marks the third installment of the readathon, which encourages participants to read and share stories that center around trans experiences. Not only does this event highlight the importance of representation in literature, but it also serves as a platform to advocate for transgender rights and support relevant organizations. Each book you choose to read during this period is not just a step into different worlds but also a contribution to a much-needed cause. Some suggested titles you might consider adding to your reading list include 'The House on the Cerulean Sea' by TJ Klune, a whimsical story featuring a diverse cast, including trans characters, or 'D trans: An Odyssey' by Charlie Craggs, which shares personal reflections on transitioning and identity. Many of these narratives allow readers to connect deeply with the lives of trans individuals, providing insights that are both enlightening and impactful. Participating in the Trans Rights Readathon not only benefits readers but also strengthens community ties by promoting discussions about trans rights and the importance of allyship. Whether you're a long-time advocate or new to the cause, your participation matters!
