Palette Ranking!
Hi everyone!
As you know, I track my palettes usage.
I only track when I use a shade for an actual look (playing makeup or swatching for fun doesn't count).
1 usage = I used 1 shade in the palette.
So here's my ranking for the 1rst quarter of 2026. You can also see all the palettes I didn't dip in yet!

Tracking eyeshadow palette usage has truly transformed how I engage with my makeup collection. By only counting shades I use for complete looks—not just swatches—I get a clear sense of which palettes bring the most value to my daily routine. This method helps me avoid neglecting certain palettes and motivates me to experiment more broadly. For example, palettes like Obsidian and Rhodoniii topped my list with over 30 uses each, showing they’re staples in my makeup bags. On the other hand, some palettes remain unused, highlighting gaps I aim to fill in the coming months. I usually purchase most palettes from local shops like @ifeelbeautifulcanada, supporting indie brands and discovering unique shades. If you're looking to start tracking, I recommend creating a simple log or spreadsheet separating playful swatching from real look applications. This provides honest insight into which palettes genuinely enhance your style. It’s also a fun way to reflect on trends or moods influencing your makeup choices. Has tracking your makeup usage changed your buying habits or helped you appreciate some underrated palettes?
