Last Day & Spring Break
Of course things will happen last min when you are so determined to go go go
Spring break is often seen as a time to fully relax, recharge, and enjoy timeless moments, but as I’ve experienced, things don’t always go as planned—especially on the last day before the break. Like many, I tend to push myself to 'go go go,' trying to get everything done before the weekend starts. But sometimes, unexpected setbacks hit hard, whether it’s physical pain, emotional frustration, or just sudden obstacles that make you stop in your tracks. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to allow myself to slow down when necessary. It’s okay to feel disappointed or upset when plans get delayed or derailed. I found that acknowledging those feelings helps me let go of the pressure and reset mentally. And interestingly, slowing down doesn’t mean giving up; it often means gaining strength to pick up the pace again when the time is right. In particular, managing these moments before spring break means balancing self-care with productivity. Taking short breaks, practicing mindfulness, and focusing on what’s in your control can change how you approach the chaos that often comes at the end of a busy week. Even when you’re in Canada or anywhere else, these tips are universal. So if you’re also gearing up for spring break and feel frustrated about last-minute hiccups, remember it’s okay to pause. Use that pause to breathe, reassess, and gather energy. Then, when you’re ready, dive back into your plans with renewed enthusiasm. The journey to enjoying spring break fully might have some bumps, but it’s all part of the experience.
