Clean shells with me
Gone diving → clean shells with me 🫶🏽🐚
The ocean was unreal yesterday… so unreal I’m rocking a sunburn now 😅☀️
But when the shells are everywhere, it’s always worth it.
Found all of these in one day — moments like this don’t happen often anymore.
So grateful for this island life, ocean energy, and handmade jewelry journey. 🤍🌺
Collecting shells responsibly, creating sustainable jewelry, and staying connected to Hawaiʻi’s natural beauty — always at the heart of Stoked Seashells.

Cleaning seashells can be a fulfilling and delicate process, especially after a rewarding day of diving and collecting like I experienced in O‘ahu. To preserve the natural beauty of each shell, I start by rinsing off any sand and debris with fresh water. Then I soak them in a mixture of water and mild bleach to remove any organic material, which helps prevent odors and preserves the shell's luster. After thoroughly drying them in sunlight, I sometimes polish the shells gently with mineral oil to bring out their vibrant colors and patterns. Collecting shells responsibly is vital—not only to protect marine ecosystems but also to ensure that this natural wonder remains available for future generations. When diving or walking along the shore, I make sure to take only those shells that are empty and undamaged, avoiding live shell inhabitants. This mindful practice aligns with my dedication to sustainability and respect for Hawaiʻi’s unique ocean environment. Creating handmade jewelry from these cleaned shells adds a personal touch to each piece, connecting me deeper with the island’s spirit and ocean energy. The process of crafting sustainable jewelry from collected shells allows me to share a piece of Hawaiʻi’s beauty with others, all while supporting a small local business. This journey of shell collecting, cleaning, and jewelry making is not just a hobby—it’s a way to celebrate the island life and contribute positively to preserving this incredible coastal ecosystem.
