making the viral giant boba 🧋 it’s not “real” boba bc it’s not made of tapioca starch but they were very bouncy and sooo tasty, plus they’re easy to make! mine didn’t turn out quite round enough 🥲 but i still ate them. side note: you may need to enjoy this wot a fork… they do not fit into a straw 😅

~ giant boba milk tea ~
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 packet unflavored gelatin
1 cup brown sugar (can adjust to taste)
round ice cube tray
- Sprinkle gelatin over the cold water. Let sit for 2 mins.
- Boil water. Add the gelatin mixture in and mix until fully incorporated.
- Add brown sugar and stir well.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before pouring into the ice cube tray.
- Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours.
- Remove from tray and add to your favorite milk tea of choice!
