I used to believe that skipping meals or drastically cutting calories was the path to great results, but that approach proved unsustainable and exhausting. What truly helped me was embracing consistency with balanced nutrition—focusing on a protein-rich diet along with ample carbohydrates to fuel my body adequately. Drinking two to three liters of water daily significantly improved my energy levels and recovery. Sleep also played a critical role. Prioritizing quality rest allowed my body to repair and grow stronger, even when I wasn’t obsessing over every workout. Rather than jumping into intermittent fasting or fast cardio—approaches that might work for some—I found it more effective to listen to my body's needs and avoid the fear of carbs that often leads to starving or under-eating. Sustainability is key; moderate, steady habits foster lasting progress without burnout. Ultimately, adopting this balanced routine showed me that an "average" lifestyle, defined by consistent nutrition, hydration, and rest, can absolutely support building a fit, non-average physique without resorting to extreme or unhealthy practices.
