I’m just pointing it out that’s all 😂
It's easy to overlook how often we slump or hunch our shoulders throughout the day, especially when working at desks or using smartphones. Slouched rounded shoulders can develop due to poor habits, muscle imbalances, or prolonged incorrect posture. I've personally noticed that after long hours sitting, my shoulders naturally tend to round forward, causing tension and discomfort. To combat this, I've found that integrating simple posture checks into my daily routine really helps. Every hour or so, I remind myself to straighten the shoulders back and down, opening the chest slightly. Stretching tight chest muscles and strengthening the upper back and shoulder blade muscles are key steps. Exercises like doorway stretches, scapular squeezes, and rows have made a big difference for me. Using ergonomic chairs and maintaining an appropriate screen height also help maintain better alignment. Even small changes, like adjusting phone usage habits to avoid looking down for prolonged periods, can reduce the tendency to develop rounded shoulders. Overall, being mindful and taking active steps to correct slouched rounded shoulders not only improves your posture but can lessen neck and upper back pain. This awareness is the first step to healthier, more confident body language.
