Lens distance = How to control the eye of the beholder
Viewers do not look at the picture independently.
We always "force" him.
With lens distance.
Today is the day you start controlling the game.
Not just pretty shot
But take it to the audience, "Look as you want."
Day 5
Lens doesn't change the truth.
But change the relationship of things in the picture.
In black and white
When the color disappears,
The "range" will be particularly prominent.
Stage 1: Wide (24-35mm)
= Big World / Small People / Isolation
Wide doesn't mean "see a lot."
But that means making the subject smaller.

📌 Technique
Very close to the subject
Let the background "overlap" the subject.
Building / street line = mood press line
Wide is not suitable for warmth.
But it's very powerful with the truth of life.
Stage 2: Normal (40-50mm)
= human feelings / truth / balance
This is the closest distance to human eyes.
The picture will not be dramatic, not cheating emotionally.

Standing distance = Conversation distance
Don't crop hard
Let stories come from gestures, not lenses.
If the picture is still boring at 50mm,
The problem is not the lens.

Stage 3: Tele (85-135mm +)
= selection / cutting / emotional intimacy
Tele is to "cut the world off."
And then there's just what you choose.

The distance is real, but it feels close.
Fits black and white very much because reducing distractions
Tele didn't make it close.
But it makes "important."
