I'm Not Your Mom O.O.T.D
My Top 5 Fears:

3. A man trying to talk to me
4. A man trying to talk to me
5. A man trying to talk to me
Sharing my experiences with social anxiety has always been a challenge, but I think many can relate to the uneasy feeling of being approached unexpectedly, especially in everyday situations like pumping gas. When I try to record my outfit while doing simple errands, the last thing I want is to be interrupted by a stranger starting a conversation. It can make me feel vulnerable and trigger my antisocial tendencies. Over time, I've learned a few coping strategies that help me stay calm in these moments. One tip is to have a polite but firm response ready, like "Sorry, I'm really busy right now." This helps me set boundaries without feeling too guilty. Also, bringing a friend along when I need to shoot an OOTD (outfit of the day) video or photo can provide a buffer and make the experience less intimidating. Interestingly, I’ve noticed that many people feel this kind of discomfort, even if it's not widely talked about. For moms like me, balancing social interactions while managing multiple kids can be exhausting, so finding ways to minimize unexpected chats is a small but valuable relief. If you struggle with similar feelings, remember you’re not alone, and it’s okay to prioritize your comfort. Social anxiety might sometimes make everyday activities seem overwhelming, but little adjustments can help reclaim those moments and enjoy your personal style confidently. I hope this sharing encourages others to embrace their boundaries and keep shining through their authentic self-expression.
