Started going to the gym

I’m starting a 1 year gym challenge! I will go to the gym 1-2 times a week for an entire year. Hoping to post monthly progress on Lemon8 as well 🩵 I have the black card at Planet Fitness and am excited!

So far for my first well I:

-speed walked for a mile and a half

-ran half a mile

-did 70 seated rows

I also got some whey protein powder to help with recovery and am working on finding the best pre and post workout stretches. Still sore tho 😮‍💨 trying to find potentially more recovery methods or get the ones I already know perfect! I definitely upped my water intake as well!

... Read moreEmbarking on a gym challenge can be transformative. Many individuals seek to improve their physical fitness through structured routines and consistent training. To maximize your progress, it's essential to set realistic goals and track your performance. For example, starting with basic cardio exercises like walking or running can energize and condition your body. Incorporating resistance training, such as seated rows, plays a vital role in building strength and endurance. Remember, recovery is just as crucial as your workouts. Increasing hydration helps your body recover from intense training. Listening to your body is important—if you feel sore or fatigued, consider refining your recovery methods, which can include stretching or active rest days. Utilizing nutrition, such as whey protein, can further aid recovery and muscle growth. Engaging online communities or workout friends can enhance motivation and accountability. With dedication, you'll see improvements in your fitness level and overall wellness throughout your year-long gym challenge.

Why I Started Going to the Gym
For a while, walking was my go-to form of movement — and honestly, it still is. But recently, I felt like my body was craving something a little more. So I started easing into the gym a few times a week — not with a “go hard” mindset, but with the intention to feel stronger, more grounded, and m
