How to #NoBuy and still adventure🏞️🌅
First of all, we’re going to need to be positive because it’s so much harder to not spend money than people think. Like.. If I’m not buying gas, I’m buying groceries. If I’m not buying toiletries, I’m paying for a car mechanic. It seems to never end, sooo here are some suggestions that make NoBuy a bit more fun.😇🤪
✨(1) I used to walk/run EVERYWHERE. And it was never the same spot. I ran for joy and scenery, so I was always pleased when I would come across a new beautiful place.
(I’ve been meaning to get back into this, so what a great reason if I’m going to avoid spending money while still exploring).
✨(2) Get a hammock, some food, and go to a park/beach/friend’s house. Have a nice picnic somewhere you don’t usually go + that’s not too far away.
✨(3) Now if you want to spend on a flight or event… check if your job has a company partnership for deals—many get phenomenal travel pricing. OR look on your credit card’s bank to search for deals. I also love looking on Kayak and not putting a location in… I saw a flight for 30 dollars round trip!! It just takes a bit more effort to find AND requires a bit more lenience, but once you’re present, it’s much more fun.
✨(4) You could always just go on more walks somewhere. I love coastal trails. Just remember to be present and not in your head. You’ll get real dopamine. 😇
✨(5) I know this is kind of weird for some, but if your friends invite you out.. GO. Just bring your own food and if you feel like you need to, pay for something small. (This ofc doesn’t apply to fancy places🫣… although, you could just go on more dates?😂)
✨(6) Learn to talk to more strangers. People are very interesting and who’s to say you won’t make a lifelong friend to travel with in the future.🫶🏻
✨(7) Lastly, go watch sunset/sunrise. This feeling is hard to beat. (Also, consider taking a hammock and/or a friend).
The best part is there’s so many benefits that come with all of these options. So go out, explore, and become rich 🙆🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️😝
