Trauma into comedy

Turning pain into power and trauma into comedy. . . because what do you mean that actually happened?! Be so for real. . . Oh, wait. . . It is real. . . whoa!!

When you're cleaning and all of a sudden

you're in a channel. Remember to let the feelings flow without actually taking them on as the here and now. Yes, it hurt, but it is over. So, feel it, hold it, say or think whatever you feel called to (nothing is an option, too) and then let it go. . . It doesn't have power over you anymor

Reminding myself that multiple facts can exist at the same time has been extremely helpful while navigating some of these moments.

Healing isn't linear.

Life isn't just about healing. . . we have to find the joy in it, too. . . Hopefully, this is your reminder that you're not alone and that what you're feeling is a normal part of life AND healing.

Knowing and believing are two different things

. . . I know my worth, path, and purpose. . . sometimes my trauma kicks in and become annoyed. . . because everyone around me told me I was annoying. . . so I have to wait until either I remember or someone reminds me how awesome I truly am. . . and sometimes it takes me a minute.

I've learned that you don't have to be the perfect parent. . . you need to be a present one. In our home. . . present is better than perfect because perfect doesn't exist here. . . and that's okay.

I was told that what I wanted to do was a good hobby, but not career. . . I will not be passing that mindset down to my kid.

You deserve better. There are ways out. . . you have to be willing to sacrifice some things along the way and get through the uncomfortable now so that you'll get to better days sooner!! Yes, it will hurt. . . But you control how long it lasts. (With time, practice, and patience).
