BLW- breakfast 😋

Today, Anthony tried banana oat pancakes for the first time, along with blackberries and strawberry yogurt. Since he LOVES bananas, I thought the pancakes would be a big hit, but he didn’t seem too interested. He did eat about one and a half pancakes, but definitely preferred his yogurt (another favorite). He was also getting sleepy, so that might have played a part in his lack of enthusiasm. We will definitely try the pancakes again when he's not so 😴.

What should we try next? 🤔

When Anthony tried banana oat pancakes with blackberries and strawberry yogurt, his tiredness seemed to reduce his enthusiasm, even though bananas are usually a favorite. One tip I’ve picked up is to introduce the pancakes alongside other familiar favorites, like yogurt or soft fruit, to keep meals balanced and enjoyable. You can also experiment with different pancake variations, such as adding a bit of cinnamon or blending in other fruits like blueberries, to diversify flavors and textures. Another idea is to serve pancakes in small, manageable pieces that make self-feeding easier for babies. Since BLW encourages exploration, letting your child hold and taste the food at their own pace can make mealtime more engaging. Remember, some days will go better than others, and that’s completely normal. Keeping a flexible routine and paying attention to your baby’s hunger cues and sleepiness can help create positive food experiences. What breakfast recipes have you found successful during BLW? Sharing these helps us all build a versatile menu for our little eaters!
