A little something that I didn’t realize I needed✨

#lemon8diarychallenge

Today’s lemon8 challenge was to look up and take a picture of the sky.

I wanted to share this moment with y’all. When this photo was taken I was feeling lost and stuck in a depression spiral. It was hard motivating myself to get out of bed.

I knew I needed to get out of the house so I asked my husband if we could go for a drive. He smiled with keys in his hand and asked were we going?

On of the many ups of living in Alaska is every where you go your surrounded by snowy mountain tops. That means you’ll always have a pretty view.

Nature has a funny way of healing. On our drive I looked up and saw this view and I instantly felt clarity and at peace. It’s the little something that I didn’t realize I needed to motivate myself out of my depression spiral.

... Read moreExperiencing depression can feel isolating, but connecting with nature has proven therapeutic benefits. Studies show that spending time outdoors can elevate mood, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. Alaska, with its stunning vistas and tranquil surroundings, offers the perfect backdrop for such rejuvenation. The majestic snowy mountains not only lift our spirits but also remind us of the beauty in simplicity. As I ventured out with my husband, I found that just a glimpse of the sky could ignite a spark of hope. Engaging with nature can be as simple as observing the clouds or listening to the rustle of leaves. For those struggling, remember that reaching out for support and taking steps outdoors can foster healing and motivation. Whether through hikes, walks, or quiet moments under open skies, don't underestimate the power of nature in your healing journey.
