PRODUCTS THAT HELPED MY PSORIASIS

Native American Salve Balm is one of the most greatest things that changed my skin.

I applied the salve a few times and it calmed my skin instantly

It’s a bit oily but it’s worth it!

Native balm I bought off of amazon

Hydrocortisone you can get at Walgreens / CVS/ Walmart / Dollar Tree

Shower, don’t itch your skin, don’t apply fragrance things on it!

Consistency is key to heal your skin, be patient!

These products can be used together as well.

The Salve is a powerful product I have ever used in my skin and she thanked me! ♥️

... Read moreWhen I first started my journey with psoriasis, it felt like an uphill battle. The constant itching, the redness, and the flaky patches were not only physically uncomfortable but also took a significant toll on my confidence and daily life. I tried so many different things – from prescribed creams to various home remedies – but nothing seemed to offer lasting relief until I stumbled upon these two game-changers that truly transformed my skin. Let's talk about the Native American Salve Balm first. This isn't just any balm; for me, it was truly 'medicine to my skin,' as the label on the one I use proclaims. I specifically discovered the KIYANI CALMING SALVE, which is crafted with incredible natural ingredients like SAGEBRUSH, BROOMWEED, and JUNIPER. What immediately resonated with me is that it's from a Native American owned brand, which gives it an extra layer of authenticity and trust. From the moment I first applied it, I felt a noticeable difference. It’s a bit oily, yes, but that rich, emollient texture is exactly what my dry, irritated skin craved. It felt like it instantly calmed the fiery sensations and significantly reduced the constant urge to scratch. Learning that some of these traditional ingredients are also used for insect bites and rashes made me understand its potent soothing properties even more. I simply massaged a small amount onto the affected areas – a little goes a long way – and it started working its magic, leaving my skin feeling much softer and less inflamed. Then there’s the reliable Hydrocortisone Cream. I always keep a tube of 1% Hydrocortisone on hand, which you can easily find at places like Walgreens, CVS, or even Walmart and Dollar Tree. This cream is fantastic for those acute flare-ups when my skin needs a bit more immediate intervention to reduce inflammation and redness. The particular brand I use is often enriched with essential Vitamins A, D & E and Aloe, which are wonderful for moisturizing and supporting overall skin healing, preventing that cracked, dry feeling. I typically apply this after a gentle, lukewarm shower, especially if my skin is particularly angry or flared up. The key is to apply it thinly and consistently, but wisely – it’s a powerful tool for short-term, targeted relief and shouldn't be overused or applied to large areas for extended periods without professional advice. Combining these two has truly been my secret weapon. I usually start with the salve, letting its natural goodness sink in and provide a protective, soothing layer, and then follow up with the hydrocortisone on the most stubborn or inflamed spots. It’s truly a synergistic approach that has given me the best results. Beyond the products, I've learned that consistency and patience are your absolute best friends in managing psoriasis. It’s incredibly hard, but resisting the urge to scratch is crucial for allowing your skin to heal. I also make sure to avoid any fragranced products – lotions, soaps, or detergents – on my skin, as they can just irritate everything further. Taking warm (not hot!) showers and gently patting my skin dry instead of rubbing also makes a huge difference. Remember, healing isn't always a straight line, but with the right routine and dedicated use of products like these, you can absolutely find significant relief, comfort, and a path towards healthier, happier skin. Don't give up – your skin will thank you for the consistent care!

I use African black soap (the real one, not store bought). And then this lotion in a bar called dragon’s breath. It’s beeswax, shea, sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, tea tree, patchouli, and lime. If I don’t catch it fast enough and scratch till I have open skin, I use dragon tea. Not greasy at all, and really calms my skin. My husband runs it on my back for me and his cracked cuticles are way better and his hands don’t feel like sandpaper anymore. No chemicals. I tried it at a booth at a renaissance fair. I was desperate that day and they said “here, just try it. Walk around and if it helps come back and buy it”. The bar lasts forever.. they have an online shop at Naturecraft.net. Obviously not a cure but I hesitate to try anything else.
