Can We Talk About Patients Filming Nurses?
Today I walked into a patient’s room and realized halfway through my assessment that they were recording me on their phone , no heads up, no asking, just quietly filming like it was normal. And honestly? It threw me off more than I expected. I’m used to being watched, but being recorded feels different, like every move I make, every word I say, every tiny mistake I might slip up on could be taken out of context and blasted online. I’m not hiding anything; I’m just trying to care for people while juggling a million things, and being secretly recorded adds this layer of pressure that makes an already intense job even heavier. I wish people understood that I’m human, too , I deserve privacy, respect, and a chance to do my job without feeling like I’m on a live broadcast. If you want to record for understanding or clarity, just tell me. I promise I’ll work with you. But don’t put a camera in my face without my consent. #lemon8challenge #lemon8partner #shifts #nursesoflemon8 #nursetalk

It’s never okay to record your nurse 👩⚕️ especially without their permission because if anything were to happen I feel like it would be used against you and that’s not fair to you at all.
