That fear you’re feeling right now was never yours to carry. Release it & live.
Dawn used to live in quiet fear.
Each day began with a flood of bad news and endless scrolling, filling her mind with anxiety and doubt. Over time, her thoughts became limiting beliefs: I’m not ready. I’m not strong enough. What if everything goes wrong? Fear kept her small, stuck, and waiting for a moment that never came.
One evening, she came across a verse she had read before, but this time it felt different:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
She paused. If fear wasn’t from God, then why was she letting it control her life? Something shifted. She began to challenge the thoughts that once ruled her. Instead of shrinking back, she started taking small steps forward; speaking up, trusting more, overthinking less. Fear didn’t vanish overnight, but it no longer had power over her. Dawn realized the victory was never hers to earn, it was already won. God had always been with her. All she had to do was trust Him and follow the path He had prepared. And in that surrender, she became the better version of herself; gaining more wisdom, no longer led by fear, but by faith, knowing God’s plan was far greater than anything she could have imagined.
And for the first time in her life, Dawn didn’t feel stuck. She felt unstoppable. Not because she had become fearless on her own, but because she finally understood that fear was never hers to carry in the first place.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the constant flow of negative news, social media distractions, and financial uncertainties. This endless exposure can plant seeds of fear and anxiety that grow into limiting beliefs, making us feel stuck or unprepared for life’s challenges. I’ve personally experienced this cycle of worry—scrolling through my phone in the morning and immediately feeling weighed down by headlines that paint a bleak picture of the world. What helped me regain my footing was grounding myself in the truth that fear isn't a permanent burden we must carry; instead, it can be replaced by a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. This perspective shift didn’t happen overnight but came from intentionally challenging my anxious thoughts and choosing to trust a greater plan. One practical way I found peace was by setting boundaries around my media consumption—limiting the time spent scrolling to just a few minutes, then deliberately focusing on uplifting or faith-affirming content. I also began daily affirmations inspired by the verse Dawn discovered, reminding myself that fear does not define me and that I have inner strength through faith. Taking small steps made a big difference. Speaking up in situations where I would normally stay silent, trusting others more, and reducing overthinking gradually diminished fear’s grip. The journey involves surrendering control and understanding that the victory over fear has already been won through faith. If you’re feeling stuck, remember you don’t have to carry your fear alone. Embracing a mindset that combines power, love, and clarity can transform anxiety into confidence. By staying grounded in this truth and shifting your mindset, you can move from fear to freedom and live a more peaceful, fulfilling life.
