The New Season Requires a New You!
There comes a moment when we realize we cannot pray for a new season while holding tightly to the habits, mindsets, and fears that kept us stuck in the last one.
Growth is uncomfortable because it asks us to release what has become familiar, even when familiar isn't healthy. Sometimes the habit isn't procrastination or laziness, sometimes it could be self-doubt or believing you're not enough.
Sometimes it isn't failure either. It could be constantly looking back at who hurt you, left you, disappointed you, or who didn't believe in what God placed inside of you.
The truth is that every new season requires a new level of faith. God cannot take us where He is calling us if we insist on carrying every old fear, labels, and old version of ourselves into the future.
Growth will ask for honesty. Honesty about the excuses we've made, the wounds we haven't healed, or about the patterns that no longer serve God's purpose for our lives.
Growth will ask for courage. The courage to try again, to be seen, and to move forward before we feel ready. And growth will ask for surrender.
Because becoming who God created you to be often means letting go of who you thought you had to be.
The woman God is calling you to become may think differently, speak differently, set healthier boundaries, trust Him more deeply, and walk with greater confidence than the version of you that exists today. That isn't becoming someone fake, it's becoming someone free.
Your next season is not waiting for a perfect version of you. It is waiting for a willing one.

The scripture Romans 12:2 reminds me daily: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This renewal requires releasing old patterns and embracing courage to become the woman God designed me to be—someone free, confident, and deeply trusting Him.
