However, by committing to self-control and willingness to be corrected, I began embodying the godly characteristics I sought. Many desire covenant and blessings but want to avoid the process God uses to prepare hearts. This preparation can involve difficult self-examination and letting go of old habits, which is not easy but necessary. Asking yourself, "Am I willing to become ready?" helps shift focus from impatience to intentional growth. If you’re resisting parts of this process, reflect on what you may be avoiding. Is it fear of change, discomfort with discipline, or uncertainty about your worth? Joining supportive communities or mentors can help you work through these hurdles.
