ARTFIGHT
It is under way and I have done two so far!!! YAY
Wow, Art Fight 2025 is in full swing, and I'm so excited to finally be part of it! I've already tackled two pieces, and the energy in the community is just incredible. It's such a fantastic way to push your artistic boundaries and connect with other creators. Every year, I look forward to seeing what amazing art comes out of this event, and this year, I decided it was my turn to dive in headfirst. For those who might be new to this, Art Fight is an annual event where artists are split into two teams and 'attack' (draw) characters belonging to members of the opposing team, earning points for their team. It's all in good fun and a brilliant way to get free art and create art for others! This year, for Art Fight 2025, I've set myself a personal goal to experiment more with different styles, especially pixel art, which I've been really passionate about lately. It's a great challenge to capture detail and personality within a limited palette and resolution. Speaking of details, let's talk about the importance of #ArtFightTags! These are super helpful for both artists and those looking for specific types of art. When I was brainstorming my characters and what kind of art I wanted to create, I thought about tags like #pixelart, #characterdesign, #oc (original character), #fantasyart, and of course, #ArtFightAttack and #ArtFightRevenge to categorize my submissions. Using relevant tags helps your art get discovered, and it also helps you find awesome artists whose work you might love. For instance, one of my revenge pieces even had a #SonaPals tag, which is a great way to group characters that belong to a specific theme or group. It's all about making art accessible and discoverable within the huge Art Fight community. I'm constantly inspired by the diverse range of art styles you see during Art Fight. If you've ever searched for something like 'skynix art' to find unique and detailed digital creations, you know how captivating a distinct artistic voice can be. While I'm developing my own unique pixel art style, I'm always striving for that level of detail and character depth. It's a journey of learning and experimentation, trying to infuse my own touch into every piece, whether it's an attack or a revenge. I love seeing how different artists approach character expressions, lighting, and textures, even in a pixelated format. So far, my two completed pieces for Art Fight 2025 have been a blast to create. My first 'ATTACK' piece features a striking pixel art style character. I really enjoyed bringing this design to life; it has bold red horns, a mysterious black face, and sharp yellow teeth that really stand out against its pink skin. The character is wearing a simple black shirt, and I framed it with a pixelated brown border to complete the retro feel. For my 'REVENGE' piece, I went for something a bit more creature-like—a pixel art creature with soft white fur, accented with vibrant purple details. What makes this one really special are the wings and subtle mechanical parts I incorporated, giving it a unique sci-fi fantasy vibe. Both pieces are dated '2025' on the canvas, marking my official entry into this year's fight! If you're thinking about joining Art Fight next year or even just want to explore the massive archives of art, I highly recommend it. It's a fantastic way to develop your skills, get out of your comfort zone, and make new connections. I'm already planning my next creations and can't wait to see what other amazing characters I get to draw. Happy fighting!
