NYC Thai Spot That Nails Seafood! 🦐🔥

This place knows how to do seafood, and they just dropped some new dishes!

🌟 Must-Try: Tom Yum Jumbo Shrimp Fried Rice

• Lightly seasoned rice with jumbo shrimp, mussels, and shrimp bites—perfectly balanced flavors!

🍝 New Pasta Alert: Jumbo Shrimp Squid Ink Noodles

• Personally, I found it a bit too sweet. I still prefer their curry squid ink noodles—my ultimate fave!

🦪 Seafood Specials: Scallops & Mussels

• I skipped the mussels, but that curry sauce? Ended up mixing it with rice, and I couldn’t stop!

A spot that’s always full of surprises and flavors. Definitely worth a visit!

... Read moreOh my goodness, if there's one thing I absolutely crave when I'm looking for an explosion of flavors, it's Thai seafood! And let me tell you, finding a spot in NYC that really gets it, like 11 Tigers, is such a win. When I think about what makes Thai seafood so special, it’s not just the incredible ingredients like fresh jumbo shrimp and succulent mussels, but how they’re prepared – often with that perfect balance of spicy, sour, sweet, and savory. For those of us dreaming of a Tom Yum seafood hot pot, even if 11 Tigers doesn't offer a traditional bubbling pot, their Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice comes pretty close to delivering that intense, aromatic experience. Imagine that vibrant Tom Yum broth infused into every grain of rice, loaded with seafood. The chef flambéing a large metal pot of seafood, as I saw in one of my photos, really shows the passion and explosive flavor they put into their dishes. It's not just food; it's a spectacle! It captures the essence of a communal, flavorful seafood experience you'd expect from a hot pot, but in a unique fried rice format. And if you've ever dreamt of a lavish seafood platter from Thailand, where every inch of the table is covered with fresh catches, 11 Tigers brings a slice of that abundance to the East Village. While you might not get a literal 'platter' in the traditional sense, the variety and quality of their offerings – from those perfectly seared scallops in a rich red curry sauce to the impressive squid ink noodles with a jumbo prawn – truly evoke that feeling of a grand feast. I was particularly delighted to discover they sometimes feature specials like Uni Ikura rice, which is such a luxurious treat and a testament to their commitment to high-quality seafood. It's like building your own personalized Thai seafood platter, dish by delicious dish! Speaking of satisfying cravings, if you're into the idea of a Thai seafood boil, where everything is tossed in an incredible sauce, you absolutely have to try their curry-based dishes. That red curry sauce I had with the scallops? It was so rich, fragrant, and had just the right kick that I ended up mixing it with rice, creating my own little 'deconstructed boil' right there on my plate! It brings that same addictive, finger-licking experience you'd get from a boil, but with a refined Thai twist. What I really love about discovering places like 11 Tigers is how they transport you. Each dish feels authentic, yet innovative. The freshness of the ingredients is undeniable, and the way they balance the flavors is artistry. Whether you're a fan of the classic seafood fried rice with shrimp and mussels, or you're looking to explore bolder flavors like their squid ink noodles, this spot constantly surprises. Don't forget to pair your meal with one of their unique cocktails – a perfect way to complete your Thai seafood adventure!
