iOS 18 Features Part 3: Control Center Redesign 🤖

Hey everyone! So, the iOS 18 update has been quite exciting, especially with the completely redesigned Control Center. I wanted to share my personal experience and some tips to help you get the most out of it, especially if you're like me and were wondering how to add back some of your favorite toggles or find new ones! First off, customizing the new Control Center is super easy now. Gone are the days of digging through settings endlessly! To personalize your Control Center, just head to Settings > Control Center. Here, you'll see a list of 'Included Controls' and 'More Controls'. It's so intuitive – you can simply tap the '+' (plus) icon next to any control under 'More Controls' to add it to your active Control Center. And if there's something you rarely use, just tap the '-' (minus) icon next to it and then 'Remove'. You can even reorder them by dragging the three lines on the right! I love that I can now have everything exactly where I want it, from my Wi-Fi and Cellular Data toggles to my Personal Hotspot. One of the most common things I see people searching for, and something I use all the time, is Screen Recording. With the iOS 18 Control Center, it's right there for you! If you don't see it immediately, just follow my customization tip above and add 'Screen Recording' from the 'More Controls' list. Once added, a quick tap on the icon starts recording, and a long press gives you options like recording with your microphone on or off. It's perfect for capturing quick tutorials or sharing funny moments from games. Another feature I swear by is Screen Mirroring. Whether I'm showing photos on my smart TV or casting a presentation, it's a lifesaver. In the new Control Center, the Screen Mirroring icon is usually pretty prominent. If it's not, you know the drill – add it from 'More Controls'! Just tap it, select your device (like 'Speakers & TVs' mentioned in the OCR), and boom, your iPhone screen is mirrored. It's so much smoother with iOS 18. And for those times when you absolutely need your screen to stay put, like when you're reading in bed or looking at a map, the Orientation Lock is your best friend. It's a small icon, usually a padlock with a circular arrow around it. Again, if it's not visible, customize your Control Center to include it. A single tap locks or unlocks your screen orientation. I used to forget where this was, but now it's just a swipe and tap away. Beyond these, don't forget about other useful controls like Do Not Disturb, Airplane Mode (especially handy when I'm traveling or on a flight with T-Mobile Wi-Fi), and quick access to my Camera and even a Stopwatch. The redesign truly makes it feel more personal and efficient. It's all about making your iPhone work for you. Experiment with adding and removing controls to find your perfect setup!
