Nursing Work Life Pathway Review with Age 35 +
Today I want to share my experiences with those who are interested in nursing, including those who are close to graduation, and who are reluctant to choose which wards or areas to work in. 😊
I am a 35 + -year-old nurse who graduated from the hospital and worked in the ER for the 12th year.
Over the course of her career, ER has learned a lot more than I thought in school, not only emergency or critical care, but also care for a wide range of patients of all ages - internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, children, and accident cases that require knowledge, speed, and decision-making at the same time.
Another thing we learned from real work is that "nurses don't just work in the emergency room." Sometimes we also have the opportunity to educate agencies or organizations, develop communication skills, teaching, and working with multidisciplinary teams.
This line of work may be exhausting and challenging, but it has made us grow both professionally and life-oriented. I am still learning because health work is always a job that needs to be updated, both theoretical and practical. ✨
This post is not to suggest which way is best, just want to share another corner of the nurse's life in case it is a little information for the 6th graders or nursing students who are searching for their own way to see more. 🤍
