If you do any of these things we CANNOT be friends… #grwm #girlchat #friendship #friends
In my experience, maintaining healthy friendships means setting clear boundaries about what behavior is acceptable. For instance, I realized early on that I couldn’t be friends with someone who constantly talked negatively about others behind their backs or who didn't sincerely apologize when they hurt someone. It’s important to stand against bullying and disrespect—it not only damages the person affected but also breaks the trust and respect that friendship is based on. I’ve found that communicating openly about these issues can sometimes salvage a friendship, but if the problematic behavior persists, it’s healthier to move on. Friendships should bring support and positivity, not constant drama or hurt. If someone is unwilling to correct hurtful actions or acknowledge their impact, it often signals they aren’t ready for a genuine friendship. What truly matters is mutual respect and understanding that friends don’t bring each other down or disrespect boundaries. It’s okay—and necessary—to say goodbye to people who don’t treat you or others with kindness and sincerity. Protecting your mental and emotional well-being requires surrounding yourself with people who uplift and stand by you instead of causing harm or creating toxic environments.
