Being the most educated female in my bloodline as captured by my proud smile at LaGuardia is more than just a personal achievement—it is a symbol of breaking cycles and creating new legacies. Growing up as a first-generation American on my father's side and third on my mother's side, I faced numerous obstacles that made my journey far from easy.
