They've been doing this for decades, and they still bring it every single time. Standing in that crowd, surrounded by thousands of people all singing along, is an unforgettable feeling. If you ever get the chance to catch them when they stand on that stage, don't hesitate! After the adrenaline of Metallica, my Massachusetts adventure took a totally different, but equally captivating, turn in Salem. You absolutely must visit the Witchboard Museum. It's not what you might expect – it's less about spooky jump scares and more about fascinating history and cultural artifacts. Walking in, you're immediately surrounded by these incredible vintage talking boards and Ouija boards. They have so many different designs, some really ornate, and you learn about their origins and how they evolved. I saw a neon sign that read 'I put a spell on you,' which perfectly captured the vibe of the place – a little mystical, a little eerie, but mostly just super interesting. They explain the cultural significance, the skepticism, and the beliefs surrounding them. It was truly a unique experience, diving deep into a part of history many people only know from movies. Plus, Salem itself is just charming, with its historic buildings and that cool bronze statue of the witch on the crescent moon with a broomstick. It's definitely more than just a Halloween destination! Combining a high-energy Metallica show with the historical mystique of Salem made for such a diverse and memorable trip. Massachusetts really has something for everyone, whether you're looking to rock out, explore history, or just soak in some unique atmosphere. I left feeling completely energized and inspired by both the raw power of the music and the intriguing stories of the past. Definitely planning my next MA adventure already!
