I’ve been a little quiet… and I think it’s time I tell you why. 🤍

Life has been heavy.

Financially.

Mentally.

Emotionally.

Physically.

Some days I’ve battled anxiety, panic attacks, crying spells, and thoughts that seem louder than my own voice. There have been moments where I’ve questioned my purpose, lost motivation, and simply tried to make it through the day.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been missing, it wasn’t because I gave up.

I’ve just been surviving.

One thing I’ve learned is that healing doesn’t always look like getting out of bed with a smile. Sometimes healing looks like picking up a piece of wire… a few beads… and creating something beautiful with shaking hands.

These are some of the pieces I’ve been making while trying to find myself again.

Every wrap.

Every bead.

Every design.

They’re more than jewelry to me—they’re little reminders that even when I feel broken, I can still create something beautiful.

So I’m showing up today, not because everything is okay, but because I’m choosing to keep going.

If you’re struggling too, I hope you know you’re not alone. One small step is still progress.

Thank you to everyone who’s continued to support Bead Haven and JasmineTay Empire. Your encouragement means more than you know. 💚

✨ Which piece is your favorite—the bracelet, the butterfly ring, the green ring, the nose cuff, or the keychain?

Read moreAs someone who has faced the overwhelming weight of financial, emotional, and mental challenges, I deeply relate to finding refuge in creativity—especially through handmade crafts like jewelry. Working with beads, wire, and unique designs does more than produce beautiful accessories; it becomes a therapeutic act that grounds and heals. The process of handcrafting each piece, from wrapping wire to stringing beads, allows for mindful focus. In moments when anxiety or panic looms large, this physical engagement diverts my thoughts and fosters a sense of calm. It’s empowering to transform fragile materials into meaningful symbols of protection, growth, and abundance. Wearing these pieces daily serves as subtle yet constant encouragement. Each bracelet or ring can symbolize survival and strength, reminding me—and others—that healing is not linear and does not need to show as outward happiness. Sometimes, the act of simply creating or wearing something that represents your journey is enough. Supporting Black-owned businesses like Bead Haven also adds a layer of connection and validation. Knowing that the jewelry is crafted with purpose, energy, and intention elevates its significance beyond aesthetics. It’s a community that values healing through art, fostering inclusivity and resilience. If you’re struggling with your own mental health journey, I encourage you to explore creative outlets. Whether it’s beading, painting, writing, or any form of expression, these acts can become anchors during turbulent times. Remember, even small steps toward healing—like crafting one bead at a time—matter and can lead to profound progress.
