my october savings

i love october for my 2 extra paychecks >:) my first savings round was a total of $2k and next round will be my final one of $600 for my emergency fund. i have also invested $583.33 into my ROTH IRA which i typically consider as part of my savings too. this is by no means a normal savings month! pls note i've been aggressively saving for things for the past 2-3 years. this year was my first W2 and FT job as i used to work for a priv practice as a 1099 making from $16 to $20. i had other side jobs to be able to save as much as possible. i've sacrificed lots of wants, but also recognize i'm still in a good position to be able to do the sacrifice and save as much as possible. #savingmoney #budgeting #moneytok #savings #finance

This is good. I tell younger people to deposit the total amount they would spend each month on rent, utilize (estimate) for a year into an account, and then think about moving out. That is the true emergency fund for living. It's coming in handy for my cousin who has been furloughed. Also, open one of the MOST IMPORTANT expenses you'll have is a baby fund. When you have a kid, you can take the money from the HYSA and put it into a Roth account for them. You're doing great. šŸ’œ
