When preparing your iPhone for sale, it's crucial to go beyond just erasing your data. First, always perform a full backup of your important information. I connected my iPhone to my computer and used the backup feature to save everything securely. This way, I could restore my data on my new device without worries. Next, I signed out of my Apple ID and disabled the Find My iPhone feature. This step is vital because the Activation Lock can prevent new owners from using the device. Make sure to visit your Apple ID account online and remove the iPhone from your trusted devices, which further ensures the device is fully unlinked from your identity. Finally, I performed a factory reset through the settings menu to erase all personal information completely. After resetting, checking for any remaining accounts or data is a good idea. These steps protected my privacy and prepared the phone perfectly for resale. Taking these precautions gave me peace of mind and helped me get a better trade-in value for my iPhone.
