Productivity apps| Get it under control!!

I believe I have an overactive mind at this point.

☀️From the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep I am constantly thinking about what needs to be done, very overwhelming

💡BEST TIP: Set a schedule and try to follow it little by little each day. Realistically sometimes life throws loops and sticking to a strict schedule may not be a possibility but if you can be gentle with yourself & create good habits, you’ll start to see the ebbs and flows of life slowly getting a bit less hectic.

As a creator, burn out is real and it’s so easy to let the day get ahead of you before you can even get out of bed. Use these productivity apps as a starting guide to help you!

After seeing some of the recommendations on how to actually get s*** done here are my top 3 apps and what I use them for!

Notion of course, I mean you can literally do anything on there.

✨I mainly use it for client collaboration (I’ve created interactive content scheduling and planning) this helps me keep track of where we are in their growth journey, add notes, discuss trending topics etc, which I use for myself as well!

To do ✔️ I’ve raved about this on here before. You can create different boards for your day to day, set reminders for tasks, bills etc, and add others from your household or work to help you check them off! You can customize the background and colors of your boards as well which is a nice bonus!

Timebloc:

Oh my how this keeps me grounded (when I actually follow it of course 🥹)

You can schedule literally anything for your day to day (reoccurring tasks can be scheduled 📅 with the paid version) sadly you will have to create each task for each day/week separately w/the free version. Works fine for me because sometimes my routines change 🤷🏾‍♀️

Let me know in the comments if you use any of these or have some other productivity hacks/apps to share!

... Read moreOkay, so you're looking for the 'best time management apps,' and honestly, I've been right there with you! It’s wild how quickly the days fly by, and suddenly, you're juggling a million things, feeling like you're constantly playing catch-up. I know that feeling of an "overactive mind," constantly thinking about what needs to be done. It's exhausting! But here’s the thing I've learned: while the apps themselves are amazing, the 'best' one is ultimately the one that seamlessly fits into your life and helps you cultivate those good habits we all strive for. Beyond just downloading an app, truly effective time management starts with a mindset shift. It's about setting a realistic schedule, being gentle with yourself when things don't go perfectly, and slowly building routines. The apps I shared – Notion, Microsoft To Do, and Timebloc – are fantastic tools, but they really shine when you integrate them with intentional strategies. So, how do you figure out which time management app is 'best' for *you*? It boils down to your specific needs. Are you primarily looking for a place to dump "Daily Tasks" and get reminders? Microsoft To Do might be your perfect match; it's brilliant for simple lists and even "Recurring Tasks." It’s also great for "Collaboration w/ Spouse" or family members on shared chores. If your main goal is detailed "Daily Routines" and "Scheduling" your entire day, Timebloc (even the free version, with a little manual effort!) can be a lifesaver, helping you visualize your time blocks. But if you're like me – a creator or someone managing complex projects – you might need something more robust. That's where a tool like Notion truly becomes indispensable. It’s not just an app; it’s a whole customizable workspace. For me, it's a hub for "Planning Content Posts," organizing "Research" for new ideas, and even managing client collaborations. You can create databases for "Grocery Lists," set up dashboards for "College Studies," or track any project you can imagine. The beauty is its flexibility; you can truly make it your own. The OCR mention of "Planning Content Posts" really hits home for me! To truly "Take Control" with any of these apps, here are a few practical tips I've picked up: Start Small: Don't try to digitize your entire life overnight. Pick one area that feels most chaotic – maybe your daily to-do list – and focus on getting that into your chosen app. Schedule Review Time: Your schedule isn't static. I set aside 15-20 minutes every Sunday evening to review my week ahead in Timebloc or Notion, adjust tasks in Microsoft To Do, and plan out my priorities. This helps me adapt to those "ebbs and flows of life" the original article mentioned. Integrate, Don't Isolate: Make your app a natural part of your workflow. If you use Notion for project planning, make sure it's the first place you go when a new idea strikes. If To Do handles your daily tasks, make checking it part of your morning routine. Use Reminders Wisely: Too many reminders can lead to 'alert fatigue,' but too few mean missed tasks. Find your sweet spot. For me, critical tasks get a reminder in To Do, while general schedule shifts are noted in Timebloc. Embrace Flexibility: Life happens! If a scheduled task gets bumped, don't beat yourself up. Just reschedule it. The goal isn't perfection, but progress and reducing stress. Ultimately, the 'best time management app' is a personal journey. Whether you're using Notion for intricate "Planning Content Posts," Microsoft To Do for your "Daily Tasks," or Timebloc for your "Daily Routines," the key is consistency and adaptation. These apps are powerful allies in battling overwhelm and boosting your productivity. My hope is that by trying some of these strategies and exploring whether Notion, To Do, or Timebloc fits your style, you'll feel that incredible sense of finally getting things under control!
