What Mary taught me about surrender
What Mary taught me about surrender 🤍
When I think about surrender, I think about Mary.
Not because she had all the answers.
Not because she understood every detail of God’s plan.
But because she trusted God even when she didn’t.
Imagine being told that your entire life was about to change.
Imagine being asked to step into something bigger than yourself.
Imagine not knowing how everything would work out.
That was Mary.
And yet her response wasn’t fear.
It wasn’t resistance.
It wasn’t control.
It was surrender.
📖 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” — Luke 1:38
Mary teaches us that surrender is not giving up.
It’s giving God control.
It’s trusting Him when the future feels uncertain.
It’s saying, “God, I don’t understand everything, but I trust You.”
Sometimes we want God to show us the entire plan before we obey.
But surrender often means taking the next step without seeing the whole picture.
Mary’s faith reminds us that God’s plans are always greater than our own.
And what feels scary in the moment may become the very thing God uses for His glory.
Friend, what is God asking you to surrender today?
Your timeline?
Your fears?
Your plans?
Your need to control the outcome?
Whatever it is, you can trust Him with it.
The same God who guided Mary is guiding you.
🤍 Save this for the season you’re learning to let go and trust God.
