Ribeye platter
When it comes to enjoying a hearty and satisfying steak dinner, an oven baked ribeye platter is one of my favorite choices. Unlike grilling or pan-searing, baking ribeye steaks in the oven allows for even cooking that keeps the meat juicy and tender throughout. To get the best results, I usually start by seasoning the ribeye liberally with salt, pepper, and sometimes garlic powder or herbs. Letting the meat sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking helps it cook more evenly. I preheat my oven to around 400°F (204°C) and place the ribeyes on a baking tray lined with foil or in a cast-iron skillet. Baking typically takes about 12-15 minutes depending on the thickness and desired doneness. One tip I’ve found useful is to sear the ribeye quickly on a hot pan before putting it into the oven. This step creates a beautiful crust and enhances flavor. After baking, I let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute, making each bite tender and flavorful. You can complement your ribeye platter with sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. This combination makes for a fulfilling dinner that’s perfect for family meals or impressing guests. Overall, oven baked ribeye is a simple yet impressive dish that captures the essence of a classic steak dinner with ease and delicious results.
